On behalf of the African American Ethnic Sports Hall of Fame we invite you to join us at our “ Annual Bay Area Induction Ceremony” at the Interstate Center (Mormon Temple), 4620 Lincoln Avenue, Oakland, California 94602 on Friday, March 19, 2010. Our theme: “We are strongest when we stand on the shoulders of our ancestors”. The event begins at 6:00 P. M. with the “VIP Reception with the Stars” and food is served at 7:00 P.M. The ceremony begins at 8:00 P.M in the theater. This is a Black Tie Optional event.

This is an opportunity to meet and witness some of the greatest athletes ever, as they are inducted into the Hall of Fame. This event will allow us to recapture, remember and honor some great athletes and living legends, and you are invited to participate. You have the unprecedented opportunity to witness the induction of the class of 2010, while demonstrating a sense of community and helping make dreams come true for our academic achievers. These athletes have a rich history in telling, one that evokes heroism, determination and dignity.

The AAESHOF is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, and is dedicated to honoring our heroes and heroines from the past, honoring our community leaders and development opportunities for young, less fortunate people to gain exposure to positive aspects of life. This is our major Hall of Fame fund-raiser for students to attend our after school youth intervention program. It helps students from economically challenged backgrounds with their education through our “Academia Achievers Award Program” (AAA!!!)
